Trip itinerary

Day 1: Ha noi – Bac Kan (180 km)

Commence your Vietnam Motorbike Tour Ha Noi North-East North-West Ho Chi Minh Trail with our riders pick-up in Ha Noi  after breakfast. We will leave the busy Ha Noi behind  and get on the high-way no 3 to Thai Nguyen province. We take a break visiting the impressive Vietnam Ethnic group museum of cultures and see the colorful exhibitions on display that reflect the lifestyle of over 50 tribes that reside in the hills of Vietnam and then pass the Thai Nguyen city on the north-land is the very famous for the high-quality of its tea. We keep ride on the road to visit a beautiful waterfall before check in hotel in Bac Kan

 Day 2: Bac Kan – Ba Be lake (80 km)

Today we have short ride on the hill rout, beautiful landscape of hill and valley… before our ride to Ba Be Lake. We have luch time in a local restaurant then check in a local house in here. Afternoon we take the fabulous for 2 hour boat trip and sail through the lake then we stop at the Dau Dang waterfall, for those that swish, swim. There is also primary school and the village located down the waterfall that we get back to the lake and head to the An Ma temple. Finally, we track through the Ba Be lake of the rain forests and get the most amazing photos from on the top nearby tower then back to the village overnight with Thai people

 Day 3: Ba Be lake – Meo Vac (190km)

Today we ride numerous passes and one again challenges our riding skills on the meandering road. However, we can stop many time is needed. In total ride will take about 8hour including stops for foods and drinks, the night finds us in a Tay community  wherever sleep over, stop in some villages to visit how local people work in the mountain and live in the belong to Dzao red and Dzao chi group. Afternoon get in Meo vac town and check in hotel

 Day 4: Meo Vac – Ha Giang (180km)

Our Vietnam Motorbike Tour Ha Noi North-East North-West Ho Chi Minh Trail adventure come true with our most adventure ride of our top 10 adventure ride and the most beautiful day of the journey. First thing is obtain a visit permit from Meo Vac to Ha Giang immigration office, so to continue our trip to Dong Van karst plateau geopark (Meo Vac, Dong Van, Yen Minh and Quan Ba) regions they are areas with amazing natural landscape and views of unspoiled surroundings. People living here are used to work hard and long hours and they always find a way out of problems of any sort judging by the fact that they have managed to live on rocky farmlands. They are very outgoing and friendly people that do not seek much in life to be happy. Head over Ma Pi Leng pass the 3th of 4 biggest passes in Vietnam, where we can be carried always the magnificent landscape over looking Nho Que river on 1000m high – river. Where the high-rank H’mong family of Vietnam purported H’mong King used to live during the French lo conical ruling. It is a fine demonstrator of European-Chinese architecture and pole of attraction to al architecture-minded visitor. Afternoon ride to Quan Ba town head on the sky gate pass and stop for the photos and visit very famous twin mountain in here before going to Ha Giang city. Tonight our crews stay in the hotel

 Day 5: Ha Giang – Sapa (280km)

Today we have long ride through the villages of Tay, Thai, H’mong…etc and stop in the villages where they have fair market just only in the Sunday, where the most of local people all way looking on that time for meet up, for share and for anything, specialty of H’mong or Thai, Tay people where they can fine another hafp of their life in the, every one going to the market with all their traditional clothe and make for our crew have a great of photos side of their life and enjoy with traditional musicale they made by bamboo or leave… Say good bye the market our crew get a head through the mountain passes are challenging and depending on the time for visit villages of local people on the road. We will be testing (and sharpening) and going to Lao Cai visit border Vietnam and China before our ride to Sapa check in hotel in the city centre.

 Day 6: Sapa – Mu Cang Chai (150km)

After breakfast we head riding to the village, where they have a biggest one of rice terraces in Vietnam (151 terraces) on the mountain, coming in the farm we have sharing with the local people there working on the farm, where, now they still used the water buffaloes for work, visit and get a great of photos, say good bye the village and local people in here our crew riding to Hoang Lien Son mountain there have the top of Vietnam with fanxipang mountain 3.400m, and today we get on the 1 biggest passes in Vietnam (O qui ho, with 51km road pass and on over 2000m high, we stop to visit very beautiful silver waterfall, through a valley of tea plantation and rice fields lying gracefully next to Nam Ma river the tribe village of Dao, H’mong, Thai white and Tay, stop in Tan UYEN air post of French war and our tour guide tell the crew how the historical about French war in Vietnam, head on the rout to visit some dam where they made hydro power before going in the Mu Cang Chai for check in hotel

 Day 7: Mu Cang Chai – Nghia Lo (150km)

Keep going on the high-way no 3 out of the town we meet up the 3th biggest passes in Vietnam (Khau Pha 43km) get in the top of pass we have stop for a photos time, from here we have a best of memories of the road in the mountain, the road look like a very big snack, and then keep riding through the villages of Thai, Nung, Pa then… Here we have the most of traditional culture of hills tribe people and enjoy is very famous the local wine they made by corn… Specialty they used many different kind of leaves in the forest mountain. Try and we understand why visitor said if travel to here don’t forgot try that thing could be great memories of north-west of Vietnam. One time try forever. Head on rout we come Nghia Lo city belong to Yen Bai province from here we keep going to Suoi Giang town and visit the very specialty tea in here (how people the pick tea and how they made it just come here and see where they can’t tell or see in photos, they have a very big tea plantation of tea with over 100 years old, the people pick the tea much climb up the tree over 10m high ad enjoy with difficult fruits here as orange, pomelo or cat apple… Before come back the city for check in hotel

Day 8: Nghia Lo – Mai Chau (205 km)

After breakfast our crew head on high-way no30 for 45km and then get on the last biggest on 4 biggest passes in the north of Vietnam we stop on the way to visit the dams where the made hydro electricity on Da river, we have lunch time in Moc Chau with the local foods before going to visit a beautiful waterfall (Dai Yem), and then keep ride to Mai Chau town for check in home stay in the village belong to white Thai group.

 Day 9: Mai Chau – Thai Hoa (250km)

After breakfast our crew motorcycle tour day begins nicely, and, as we bid farewell to the friendly and hospitable villagers, we head south. The lovely winding, quiet road along the Ma River banks takes us to the Ho Chi Minh Trail, after a few hours. The trail is now a modern highway built a while ago, which will lead us close to the Laos borders, through remote back country, to the south. Lunchtime finds us somewhere along the way, tasting the local cuisine and foods that provide us with enough energy to continue our ride to the town of Thai Hoa, We spend the night in a hotel, in Thai Hoa

 Day 10: Thai Hoa – Phong Nha cave ( 270km)

After breakfast, you can visit the local market, before heading off again. Our first stop is the Tan Ky town, after traveling a beautifully paved trail, where we have some lunch and, depending on the time, we can also try another 30km on the back roads. The goal is to make it to the Ho Chi Minh Trail road, after we have visited an ethnic minority village and one of Vietnam’s most remarkable dairy-cows stations on the way. We will be heading towards the Laos borders after we head south and take the highway. As we enter deeper and deeper into inland and leave the remote back country behind, the scenery adopts a distinguishing karst topography and limestone rock formations. Until 1972, Laos was in the midst of 2 famous intersections and traffic used to be passed over into it. As we go past these intersections, we arrive at Phong Nha, the famous World Heritage site, at around afternoon. The Phong Nha is a significant milestone in Vietnam’s culture, as it used to be the place where both military and local civilians would find a safe getaway from the relentless bombing during wars. We spend the night in a hotel, in Phong Nha.

 Day 11: Phong Nha – Ke Bang (Relaxing and Visiting)

The national park of Phong Nha has gained growing tourist interest lately and is very renowned for its glorious history, beautiful natural surroundings, and its caves, such as the Son Doong (largest cave in the world), the Phong Nha Dark cave and the Paradise cave, which are all listed among the most spectacular caves in the world. After visiting it all, we still have time to drive around and see more of the park’s karst topography, characterized by various significant geographical features that amaze with their complexity and intricate limestone formations as they peep out of connecting rivers. Needless to say, after a full day’s driving experience, cooling off, and swimming in babbling waters of the river section is definitely refreshing!

We spend the night in Phong Nha

 Day 12: Phong Nha – Khe Sanh (270km) western Ho Chi Minh Trail

After breakfast we ride the west Phong Nha – Ho Chi Minh on trails with motorbike Chi Minh Trail, today you have the chance to see the real trail with its mind-blowing, spectacular scenery – lots of jungle, mountains, waterfalls and villages of the Paco and Van Kieu Minorities. We will ride through the Sa Mu pass, se pang heng river, Lang Ho village, U bo pass, areas made famous in the American war. Tonight we stay in Khe sanh town near the Laos borders (Lao Bao)

 Day 13: Khe sanh – A Luoi (140km)

Today we still on the western Ho Chi Minh Trail get head stop to the Lao Bao border (Laos) take a walk alone to visit the market center and take a greatest of photos for the motor bike of Vietnam, after that ride back to Khe sanh town to visit Ta Con Airport during French and American war, enjoy with the special coffee in here and see coffee plantation 1 of 8 very famous places for coffee in Vietnam, and then keep HCM trail going to A Luoi stop to visit hamburger hill where our crew get a lot of information for the American war, Vietnamese people and Americans they save a centimeter, there still have chemistry bomb in the land, now still have big problem for the local people when they work in the mountain there, after head rout going to A Luoi town, tonight we staying in the hotel in small town near by Laos (just standard hotel)

 Day 14: A Luoi – Hue (165 km)

Today we head mountain rout again follow western HCM trail for short distance before turn on the small rout to Hue, get break time for coffee or photos on the mountain or river before arrival to Hue, you will have to time to ride around this ancient citadel to explore some highlights with Imperial Citadel and Royal Tombs or boat trip on Perfume Pagoda. After we check in hotel in the city centre, in the evening we have big party before say good bye finish the northern Vietnam trip and say love to see in the next time coming back Vietnam. 🙂

For the 14 days trip from Ha Noi to Hue we ride over 2000 km and pass more than 30 provinces on Vietnam and see over 35 group of hills tribe people get a lot of culture and try many thing belong to the local people….
